The Hertie Institute for AI in Brain Health invites you on an evening city walk into the world of brain research. On two evenings in November, buildings and façades in Tübingen's old town will become projection surfaces that offer a glimpse inside.
The material comes from the research itself. Brain research relies on imaging techniques that reveal changes in the brain and signs of neurodegenerative disease. They translate processes inside the body that we cannot see into images. The Brain Mapping City Walk shows visitors what these images look like. Projected onto the façades of Tübingen's old town, images from inside the body become so large that no one can miss them.
The Brain Mapping City Walk is part of the Science & Innovation Days 2026. Participation is free. There are two guided tours on each evening:
